Dock 3 can connect to your network via 2.4GHz WiFi supporting 802.11 b/g/n or ethernet, that supports power over ethernet (802.3af). The two 3.5mm jack ports on the back are configurable to send out infrared signals or control compatible RS232 devices.1

IR LED arrays blast IR signals on the top and bottom fo the dock to reach maximum coverage.

Dock 3 comes with a new, beautiful yet powerful IR extender.
It blasts IR signals via three powerful LEDs for the best coverage.
The remote’s perfect companion. Dock 3 not just charges the remote, but it complements the control capabilities of the remote by extending its IR range and adding support for RS232 devices.
Next to the RGB status LED a small OLED display shows important information when required.

ESP Home compatible
You can upload a custom firmware via the USB-C port of Dock 3 for your specific use-case. ESP Home configuration is provided that makes it a perfect - even standalone - companion for home automation systems.4

1. Infrared code learning is currently compatible with popular standard protocols. Raw infrared signal learning will be supported later. Infrared codes can be sent from the following formats: learned code from the dock, Pronto. Additional formats will be supported later. Support for popular RS232 devices will be continuously added. 2. Certain button actions cannot be changed. Button configuration will be available via a free software update. 3. Voice assistant support for Home Assistant is available via ESP Home firmware. Dock voice capabilities will be available later in early 2025 via a free software update. 4. Due to restrictions in ESP Home, not all hardware features will be usable at the same time.
